Homeowners Are Ditching Credit To Use Savings For Home Improvement!
After years of use, every home needs improvements and repairs. According to a new Infographic supplied by builders in west London from Newline Construction Ltd, around 80% of all homeowners liked to use their savings for such refurbishment work. In fact, most of the people who took loans and credit were over budget, as compared to those who used their personal savings.
It is also interesting to note that many homeowners still prefer having contractors for such tasks and projects. In fact, in comparison to 25% of people who preferred hiring a contractor for the part work, 42% others had taken help for the entire project. While there is no denying that property owners are trying to save with DIY tasks, the relevance of contractors refuses to fade.
As for the purpose, around 85% people took up home improvement with an intention of selling the property, which is quite surprising. Surely, repairs and maintenance are not serious concerns for the masses, who are otherwise more interested in getting a better price for their homes.
Surely, the trends in the industry are changing, and with savings emerging as the major source of finance, budgets are expected to be more in control.
